Ana Cristina Carrasco has a degree in Technological Physics from the University of Lisbon, a Master’s degree in Music Technology, from the University of York (UK), and a PhD in Signal Processing from the University of Southampton. She taught at the Catholic University from 2003 to 2005 in the regional center of Porto and currently teaches at ESAD.CR of IPLeiria in the area of Sound and Acoustics. She develops work on acoustic actuators, researching new materials and construction processes. More recently she is starting to develop work on interaction with microcontrollers together with sound and visual artistic areas for application in work with children at the primary school level.
