Ema Carvalho is a designer with an academic background that combines psychology and visual communication. She completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in 2022 and is currently finishing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the School of Arts and Design in Caldas da Rainha.

Her research interests are centred on the comprehension and deepening of psychological principles in visual communication, exploring how cognitive and emotional processes influence the perception and creation of design.

She is currently collaborating with LiDA – Research Laboratory in Design and Arts as part of a research scholarship, in the context of the project “PPS4 – New and More Sustainable Glass Packaging”.
