Her outstanding thesis project earned her first place in the “Design Stimulus Fund” competition, allowing her to further her research in the field of mobility and disability. Her creation, “Anfibia,” an aquatic prosthesis for individuals with transfemoral amputations, reflects her commitment to innovative and functional design.
Lucía is known for her involvement in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary work, particularly in projects with a social and community focus. Her approach emphasizes user research, taking into careful consideration the context and space for which each design is intended. While maintaining her identity rooted in the rich Latin American culture of her birth, she strives to incorporate elements of her roots and personal worldview into her projects.
