Sandra Neves, Research Fellow at Polytechnic of Leiria, holds a Ph.D. in Design healthcare-related research from the Glasgow School of Art.
Over the last ten years, Sandra has been focused on developing and delivering design healthcare-related research to contribute to new forms of good care and living well.
She has worked in demanding and challenging healthcare contexts, which include stroke rehabilitation, end-of-life care in dementia and mental health, with NHS organizations in UK, Portugal, and large charities in Scotland, managing multiple stakeholders.
Using a participatory co-design process, she engages patients and people who are living with a chronic condition in designing, she illustrated complex issues and identified opportunities to support change and promote people’s well-being in the future.
