She has a PhD in Design from FAUL with a thesis entitled: ‘Tattooing as a Graphic Expression – The body as a support for visual communication’, crossing Design with areas such as Sociology, Anthropology, and Forensic Medicine, and to a lesser extent Philosophy and Psychology. She also completed the Advanced Studies in Design course and the Master’s programme in Design at FAUL. She attended a postgraduate course in Product Design at UNEB in São Salvador da Bahia (Brazil) and has a degree in Equipment Design from ESAD in Matosinhos.

She is a researcher at the Design and Social Sciences Research Group (CIAUD/FAUL) and LiDA – Laboratório de Investigação em Design e Artes (ESAD CR/IPLeiria). As a design researcher, she has participated in various national and international conferences, published articles and book chapters, and published in other scientific dissemination formats. She is an Assistant Professor at IADE, teaching on the MA in Design and Visual Culture, the BA in Design, and the BA in Visual Design (online). She also supervises Master’s theses and projects at IADE. At the same time, she is an Adjunct Guest Lecturer at ESTG/IPLeiria on the Marketing Degree and the Digital Marketing Postgraduate Programme. She has recently been an Arguent in Public Examinations for Master’s Degrees in Design.
