Aprígio Morgado has a degree in Visual Design from IADE, and a post-graduate and doctorate in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (FAUL). He has developed research in the area of Typographic Design, namely on aspects of letter design that influence textual decoding.
Since 2009, he has been teaching Typography and Communication Design Project at ESAD.CR, and has collaborated with other educational institutions such as FAUL, ESTAL, and LSD. In 2012, he co-founded the collective Tipos das Letras, for which he regularly organizes Typography Design workshops at national and foreign events and educational institutions. He has been working in Communication Design since 1998, collaborating with design studios and branding agencies in Portugal. Currently, he is an associate professor and coordinator of the degree course of Graphic Design and Multimedia of ESAD.CR and integrated researcher of the Research Laboratory of Design and Arts of the Polytechnic of Leiria.
