João Queirós was born in Alfena in 2000.

After finishing a professional course in Equipment Design Technician at the Árvore Professional and Artistic School, he did an internship at Fablab Valletta. Later he graduated with a bachelor’s in Industrial Design in the School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha. This led him to pursue a Master’s in Product Design at the same institution, which he is currently attending. He has received and is currently attending a research scholarship in LIDA – Laboratório de Investigação de Design e Artes.

In 2023 he was awarded First Place in the Roca One Day Design Challenge Portugal, promoted by Roca Portugal, with his project named Hygibucket. Later in that same year, he was awarded also First Place in the Adico Award 2023 with his armchair project named Inclinada.
