In 1997 he graduated in Equipment Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. He studied at the Ecole Regionale des Beaux-Arts de St’Étienne, France, and has two post-graduate degrees: in Industrial Design from Glasgow School of Art, and in Design from FAUTL, Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon.
In 2006 he obtains the title of University Specialist in Methods and Techniques of Industrial and Graphic Design from the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
In 2016 he was awarded the Title of Specialist in the area of Industrial Design by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, Polytechnic Institute of Porto, and Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave.

He was a collaborator at Protodesign and the Filipe Alarcão Design Studio.
He worked at Isao Hosoe Design Studio in Milan, where he developed projects for Belli & Forti, Luxo, BIF, Itoki, Boeing and Tonelli.
He collaborated with several companies, among which was Ydreams, a reference in the field of new technologies.

Coordinated the Degree in Industrial Design and the Master’s in Product Design at ESAD.CR IPL, where he accompanied projects in partnership, namely with INEM, SRE, Sofima, OLI, Larus, Ctesi, PMPM, Val do Sol, Domplex, and Coz’art.
He was a member of the Scientific-Technical Council of the Escola Superior de Artes e Design de Caldas da Rainha, Instituto Politécnico de Leiria.
His main areas of interest are Design for Sustainability, Interaction Design, and collaboration with companies and NGOs.

He is a researcher at LIDA since 2016, Research Laboratory in Design and Arts, having participated in the following projects:
2017/2019 – “HOMEGREENS: Household Aquaponics – Integrated Multi Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA)” POCI-01-0145-FEDER-023397, (AAC No. 02/SAICT/2016) co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

In 2004 he was distinguished by the President of the Republic Jorge Sampaio, for having stood out in his professional area.
