Ricardo Castro has a degree in Plastic Arts-Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, a Master’s in Modern and Contemporary Philosophy from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, and a Ph.D. in Drawing from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. He is a freelance illustrator and graphic artist for several publishers (Antígona, Língua Morta, La Baconnière, Douda Correria, etc.).
He founded the graphic collective O Homem do Saco, based in Lisbon, where he published and printed various collective and individual publications.
He is responsible for Edições do Tédio, a self-publishing label, and the graphic journal www.diariodeumladrao.com.
Teaching as Guest Assistant Professor at ESAD.CR, in Caldas da Rainha, since September 2020.
His areas of interest are related to printing, typography, and design.
