Between the Raindrops brings together graduating students from the Master’s in Fine Arts at ESAD.CR in a moment of transition—between practice and writing, also between the end of a study cycle and the next stage.

The title proposes a reading that is simultaneously poetic and pragmatic of this end-of-cycle, reflecting both the fluctuations of this period and the real working conditions in the studios, where working between drops is a daily reality at ESAD.CR. Between water leaks and dissertations, the presented works reveal a continuous exercise of adaptation, balance, and resistance within the artistic production of Ana Vercesi, André Gil, BErTO, Catarina da Silva, Daniel Costa, Daniela Moreno, Diana Rodrigues, Luna, Madalena Aguiar, Maria Inês Lourenço, Mariana Silva, Marta Basílio Pereira, Neuza Matias, Pedro Filipe Nunes, R Tavares, Rafaela Costa, Samuel Zurrapa, and Sara Dionisio.

Between the Raindrops is a traveling exhibition between CCC, in Caldas da Rainha, and the D. Luís I Foundation – Cascais Cultural Centre. The exhibition proposes a dialogue between contexts, languages, and geographies, revealing singular paths that cross in the expanded field of contemporary art. The publication produced with the support of LiDA – Laboratory for Research in Design and Arts for this exhibition reaffirms ESAD.CR’s commitment to experimentation, critical reflection, and art-based research.
