Duration

Written correspondence between the authors of the project Miguel Santos and Margarita Köhl about the meaning of empathy in diverse contexts (socio-political, technological, philosophical, ecological). It forms the starting point of a collaborative narrative that slowly evolves and encourages interspecies dialogue. In this eco-empathic experiment, the emerging text will be used as a source for interpretation by two or three or more inhabitants (Machines? Other species? Dinosaurs?) from planets B, C, D, E.

The project was developed in the context of the Ars Electronic Festival: Planet B, raising the question of whether contemporary approaches to environmental problems are just different manifestations of the same lack of empathy.
