Vera Santos Oliveira graduated in industrial design with a final grade of 17 from the Escola Superior de Artes e Design de Caldas da Rainha (Esad). Finished her studies through the Erasmus+ program at The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in the city of Wroclaw, Poland.
Currently, she is attending the Master in Design for Health and Well-being (a pioneer in Portugal), and developing research in the project Safetrack- Miniaturized wireless devices for continuous monitoring of patients in emergency settings in design in health as a scholarship holder by the Arts and Design Research Laboratory (LIDA), in collaboration with the Emergency Service of the Leiria Hospital Center and the research center CitechCare in Leiria.
Coming from a variety of training and experience, she has developed various skills and knowledge in the areas of product design, UI/UX, graphic and communication design, 3D CAD design and modeling, and digital prototyping, among others, as well as working relationships in multidisciplinary teams. Believing that design has assumed an intervening role in the environment, with increasing influence on the well-being of our daily lives, its development requires the ability to act and reflect responsibly, aiming to improve people’s daily experiences through meaningful, clear and practical design.
