Degree in Communication Design, FBAUL, 1998. Specialist title in scientific illustration, 2013.

Teaches scientific illustration and drawing since 2010, in several undergraduate and master courses, being currently part of the teaching staff of ESAD.CR – Polytechnic of Leiria.
He has oriented about a dozen master students in the area of scientific illustration. He is a member of the Research Laboratory of Design and Arts (LIDA – Polytechnic of Leiria).

He is a member of SPEA and developed, over ten years, activities in monitoring birdlife and scientific ringing. He is a founding member of the Risk Group (2007), having participated in several field drawing expeditions in protected areas of Portugal, in the Brazilian Amazon and in São Tomé and Príncipe.

Currently, he focuses his professional activity in the areas of communication design, scientific illustration, and teaching.
